The Black Box offers unique and flexible retail space in Portland, Maine's East End, in the heart of inner Washington Ave. We make it easy for small businesses and brands to open their own stores by providing turn key space. Each unit is approximately 300 square feet, built out of repurposed shipping containers with space for signage in front and 8’ wide double glass doors that open to the sidewalk. The five street-front retail units share a common patio and a rear connecting unit with two bathrooms and tenant storage.
Leases are designed with flexibility in mind to accommodate tenants who want short-term space to test a concept, or provide street front retail space for their existing business.
